Arkansas State University—Jonesboro

 Seniors that complete the admissions process by December 1st, 2010, and are admitted will be reviewed by our scholarship office without the need for any additional scholarship applications.  However, this year ASU will not begin awarding our institutional scholarships until mid-December.  

 Arkansas State University has also made a change in our admission standards.  To receive admission to Arkansas State University for the fall of 2011, a student must score 19 or higher on the ACT and must have at least a 2.5 high school grade point average.

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship

Eligibility criteria is:

  • Currently be a resident of and attend high school in the state of Arkansas
  • Enrolled full time as a high school student progressing toward graduation in 2011
  • Intend to pursue  and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution.
  • Critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred, if higher explanation must be provided)
  • Involvement in co-curricular and community activities
  • A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Be a United State Citizen
  • Deadline is October 30, 2010
