MISSION STATEMENT The Searcy Special School District seeks to prepare responsible, productive citizens in schools where the abilities of every child are understood, nurtured, and developed.
EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES The Board of Directors believes that students should complete school in full possession of skills, knowledge, and insights necessary for responsible, productive participation in society. Consequently the board had adopted the following educational outcomes for students graduating from the twelfth grade in the Searcy School District:
| 1. | Mastery of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills; mathematics computation; scientific facts; critical and creative thinking; study skills; and problem solving strategies.
| | 2. | Ability to use instructional technology tools at an effective, efficient level.
| | 3. | Ability to use knowledge of historical, geographical, political, cultural, literary and scientific information.
| | 4. | Ability to locate and use needed information from printed and non-printed resources to expand knowledge and insights.
| | 5. | Ability to be a self-directed lifelong learner, demonstrating self-respect, self-understanding, respect and tolerance for the views of others, and appreciation of arts and humanities. |
