Mrs. Russell is Teacher of the Week for October 28 - November 1. When asked what she likes most about teaching, "I love seeing the joy and excitement on a child's face when he/she figures out something that has been difficult for them and when they learn something new."
Mrs. Russell has taught for 32 years. She has seen many changes throughout the years but teaching has always been a pleasure for her. Her family loves to spend time together traveling, playing games, watching movies and going to Walt Disney World! She likes to read, travel, spend time at the beach and plan trips. She and her husband host a large group of college students each week for dinner and Bible study. They enjoy the time with them and their fellow hosts. Mrs. Russell's son is involved in mission work in Italy. Her daughter and her husband are houseparents for a children's home. Mrs. Russell's newest role is being "Nana" to her precious granddaughter.
Some of her best memories of teaching are the friendships she's made with fellow teachers over the years. They are and continue to be an inspiration to her. Congratulations, Mrs. Russell!!!
