Searcy High School was honored to receive a visit from the United States Department of Education's Assistant Secretary on Monday. Assistant Secretary Frank Brogan had heard of Searcy High School's unique and innovative course work that focuses on career and technical advancement post high school. Secretary Brogan visited Bliss Akridge's Distribution and Logistics class, Vicki Moseley's Technology & Design Applications class, Addison Safley's animal science class, and Matthew Bowman's media class. We were also honored to have Anna Reckling of Congressman French Hill's office, Jimmy Harris of Senator John Boozeman's office, Mayor Kyle Osborne, Sheriff Phillip Miller, Dr. Suzanne Bailey of the Arkansas Department of Education, and Searcy School District board president Philip Williams on the tour.
