Searcy PreK

Searcy Schools’ Private Pre-K program is a quality approved program, licensed through the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services and governed by Arkasas Department of Education of Early Childhood. Pre-K classrooms throughout the district are led by a certified teacher. Also, in each classroom, are highly qualified paraprofessionals to assist in the care and education of each student. Searcy School District utilizes Arkansas Better Chance for School Success funding for this program.

The Pre-K program is designed to meet the developmental needs of each child using a wide range of age appropriate and multi-cultural materials and experiences. This includes the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of children. Because four-year old children tend to learn best through their senses and by moving, it may not look like ‘school’ to you! Teachers use play experiences to help children learn skills and concepts. Activities encourage exploration, creativity, and problem solving. We use Adventures in Learning, Launchpad, and Second Step, while incorporating Conscious Discipline for social and emotional development, and Work Sampling as an assessment tool. Our program is designed to create a love of learning and prepare students for success in kindergarten.

Thank you for considering SSD's Pre-K. We look forward to getting to know you!
