Just a reminder that the Operation Homefront Toy Drive ends this Wednesday, Dec.2nd. If you are out and about this weekend, please consider picking up a few toys for kids ages birth-18. Students may bring toys to any teacher's classroom or the library and the grade that brings the most toys will get to have a party before Christmas break.

Athletic Update: All basketball games scheduled for Thursday, November 19-Tuesday, November 24, have been cancelled. Regularly scheduled games will resume on Monday, November 30.
Due to an increasing number of positive Covid-19 cases among students and staff and the high number of those needing to quarantine, but most importantly out of concern for the health and safety of all, Ahlf Junior High School will pivot to remote learning with instruction at home beginning tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th and continue remote learning through Tuesday, November 24. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday,school will not be in session Wednesday, November 25-Friday, November 27. Onsite learners will return to campus on Monday, November 30. We will provide our families with more information on meal distribution in a follow-up message.Please remember during the Thanksgiving holiday to practice social distancing measures and follow Covid-19 safety protocols.

Parents, just a reminder, there are to be no deliveries during the school day. This includes, backpacks, computers, projects, instruments, athletic bags, lunches, etc... Due to COVID, these things cannot be passed around through the various hands it would take to deliver them to the students.

The AJHS National Junior Honor Society inducted eighty-five 8th grade students today, November 2nd. To be a member of NJHS one must be enrolled in 2 advanced classes and maintain a GPA of 3.5. Make up pictures will be this Tuesday, November 3rd. Any student that was either absent on picture day or is new to the district since Sept. 11 will need to have their picture taken Tuesday. If you wish to have a picture retaken, please email Mrs. Farley by Monday, Nov.2. If you have the original proofs, please send them with the student on Tuesday.
AJHS will be holding a flu immunization clinic along with the Arkansas Department of Health on November 12 to provide flu shots to the students at no charge to you. There will be no nasal mist offered this year. The influenza immunization will be in shot form. Flu shot packets were sent home with students Thursday, October 29. These forms must be filled out and returned by Thursday, November 5 in order to receive a shot on November 12. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse, Rhonda Forcier.

Picture retakes will be next Tuesday, November 3 at AJHS. If you were absent when the first pictures were taken or there was a problem with your pictures, please email Mrs. Farley to let her know you would like a retake on the 3rd. If you have your proofs from the first take, please bring those with you on the 3rd. Retakes are availabe for virtual students as well.
