This week, students in grades 9 through 11 will start submitting their course requests. Updated materials and helpful resources are now available on the Searcy High School Counselors webpage, accessible at https://bit.ly/shs_scheduling. On Tuesday, 1st period teachers will distribute Pre-Registration Sheets and Course Credit Sheets to all students. Take a moment to review these documents with your child and discuss their course choices for the upcoming year.

Searcy High School is hosting the First Robotics tournament at Lion Arena today and tomorrow. Searcy's team is #9067 named "The Goonies."

ATTENTION: SHS Seniors, We've confirmed the participation of 24 employers for the You're Hired event. Together, they offer approximately 40 different job listings, each seeking candidates for multiple positions within those listings. Please review the list of employers participating, job listings, and business white pages. The next step is to start collecting resumes from students. Upon submission, students will be prompted to select three preferred options for job applications. We have a team who will develop the schedule for interviews. The schedule of interviews will be communicated to you the week before the event. When students submit their resumes, they will also be required to complete a Photo Release/Resume Release Form. This form authorizes all pertinent parties, including but not limited to the participating schools, Arkansas State University-Beebe Searcy Campus, the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Department of Workforce Services, to share the student's resume and facilitate connections with prospective employers on behalf of the student. Starting Tuesday, February 27th, Searcy High School will be hosting the 5A State Basketball Tournament in Lion Arena. In order to accommodate expected traffic, we we will dismiss school at 3:05. All car riders will need to be picked up on the East side of campus (off of Ella Street). Thanks, and Go Lion!

Searcy High School Seniors - Jostens will be on campus on Friday, March 15th to deliver Graduation orders!!! We will call students from class beginning at 10am to the Lion Arena Lobby to pick up their orders. Senior students returning from ASU Beebe need to go directly to the arena lobby once they return to campus and seniors that do not have classes on campus during the morning, need to make plans to come to the arena at 10am to pick up their order. Any senior who has not ordered a cap and gown yet, needs to do so to ensure it will ship in time for graduation. You may not participate in the graduation ceremony without a cap and gown. Orders can be placed at Jostens.com.
