Just a reminder that AJHS will be hosting Parent Teacher Conferences tomorrow, Thursday, February 15 from 3:40 pm - 7:30 pm. Parents will be able to pick up students' progress reports and visit with teachers. We look forward to seeing you.

Candy Grams will be sold through noon on Wednesday, February 14 as long as supplies last. Students can purchase Candy Grams for $1 each from the library before school, during lunch, and after school.

Searcy Schools Junior High Quiz Bowl team competed in the 6a East regional tournament on February 5, 2023. The team went 3-1 on the day and placed second. Grady Tittle and Harbor McCash were named to the all-tournament team. The team will next compete at the junior high state finals on February 17, 2023.


In order to secure a yearbook, all books must be purchased no later than Thursday, February 22. Books may be purchased at https://bit.ly/AJHSYB or from Mrs. Farley in the library with cash, a check made out to AJHS, or a card. Books are $45 and will be delivered in May.


On Thursday, February 8, after dropping off students at school, all AJHS parents are encouraged to attend Coffee with the Superintendent from 8:00 am - 9:30 am. Join us for coffee, pastries, and a conversation about the Searcy School District.


PTO Fundraiser: Students may purchase Candy Grams from Mrs. Farley in the library before school, during lunch, or after school for $1. Candy Grams will be delivered on Valentine's Day during 7th period.


The March Madness Reading Challenge began today at AJHS with 228 students already participating. Students have been presented with a list of 32 books worth 2 or 3 points each. Students will take a quiz on each book read to receive points. Bonus points can also be earned by writing a recommendation for each book and successfully showing growth within the Lexia reading program. Each student earning 15 points or more will be invited to a championship celebration on April 5.

AJHS students Parker Hays, Israel Peck Dexter, Chandler Sullivan, Josie Sandlin, and Caitlyn Phillips attended the White County Spelling Bee, on Friday, January 26. Parker Hays and Chandler Sullivan participated in the final round with Parker placing as runner-up in the county bee. Congratulations to these AJHS students. We are so proud of all of you!
