Tomorrow kicks off our December dress up days!

We’re all smiles today! Have a safe and happy weekend. We’ll see you on Monday!

Don't forget about our December dress up days starting on Monday!

The Reading Initiative for Student Excellence (R.I.S.E. Arkansas) is committed to transforming literacy education. Each month, RISE publishes an informative newsletter on the science of reading. The monthly newsletters are easily accessible on our school website. To view the newsletters you can click on our documents tab.

Many of our students experienced their very first field trip today. We loaded buses and drove to the Performing Arts Center to watch “The 19th Princess.”

The Harding University volleyball players are so loved by McRae Elementary. They help greet students and unload cars every Tuesday morning from 7:30-8:00am. This weekend they will be playing in the GAC (Great American Conference) Championship in Hot Springs. We want to wish them the best of luck!

Do you have a teacher, administrator, or staff member you appreciate and want to give a positive "shout out"? Here's your opportunity. AJHS East students have created a great way for you to say "thank you," give encouragement, or just provide a positive affirmation. Make your nomination at the link below! https://forms.gle/Zhpq37oT9Y9b48996

Mrs. Franks met with the student leadership teams during lunch for a brainstorming session. We can’t wait to see the amazing things this group of students does for our campus.

Each student in Mrs. Ball’s took home a feather to decorate for their class turkey.

Third Grade Iris Club members at McRae are committed to taking care of our third-grade irises at school this year. Club members are Harold Baker and Michelle Coates from Mrs. Clay's class, Maya White and Daniel Maciel from Mrs. Davidson's class, Anderson Simms and Kaylee Poteet from Mrs. Henderson's class, Annabelle Vaughan and Joanna Stifle from Ms. Sword's class, and Jaxen Kendrick and Saegan Pruitt from Mrs. Woodruff's class. Students pull weeds, water the plants, make sure the name tags and the tags telling the type of iris are in the pots. The irises are provided annually by the White County Iris Society.

Mrs. Mason is pictured with the check for a donation to The Red Ribbon Foundation. Funds were raised by students during Red Ribbon week for our “Pack the Pig” coin drive.

Do you have any gently used pants or long sleeve shirts that your child has outgrown? We would love to take those off your hands to add to our clothes closet. Sometimes students have accidents at school such as spills or falls. Those students need a clean, dry change of clothes from our clothes closet. Since temperatures are dropping, we are in need of additional winter items. If you have any items to donate, please send them to school with your child along with a note that says "clothes closet donation."

Join us as we collect canned goods to help provide food for families this Thanksgiving!

Mark you calendar for picture retakes next week!
