
Congratulations to our February Circle of Champions students!
These students were chosen by their teaching team because they exhibited the qualities of our character words each week, and they have proven to be leaders with the CKH process. These students were honored during lunch by being allowed to sit at the round table in the cafeteria with a friend of their choosing.

Mrs. Cooper's class of 5th grade students were enjoying their hot chocolate solution as they talked about mixtures and solutions last week.



Mrs. Taylor's 6th grade students enjoyed the “Quiz-Quiz Trade” review of figurative language followed by a game of Blooket to identify examples of figurative language from their current read, The Phantom Tollbooth.

Mrs. Evans’ 5th grade Science classes are learning about Mixtures and Solutions. Today we did several science investigations to determine the type of mixture and provide evidence to support their decisions.

Auditions for the annual SWMS Talent Show will be held this week after school in room 604 (by the 4th grade gym)!
4th grade - Monday, February 20
5th grade - Tuesday, February 21
6th grade - Wednesday, February 22
Your child may leave right after trying out, so be prepared to pick him/her up in the Hickory Street drive before 4PM.


Mrs. Lawson’s 4th grade students work through a real world simulation project after creating class cities.
“Purchasing” houses, vehicles, and groceries, making deposits and withdrawals in their MyKidsBank accounts, and researching the education needed and duties/responsibilities of their jobs have all been completed recently.
