Westside had 57 readers CRUSH the September Reading Challenge! Those students read at least 15 minutes every day of September AND wrote the title of what they read in the calendar square and turned it back into Ms. Kim for a free book. Congratulations!! If you weren't able to meet the challenge in September, you have another opportunity this month. October calendars went home last week and the new challenge has started!! We hope to see even more turn in those calendars on Nov. 1st!

If you participated in the September Reading Challenge then you only have two more squares to fill out today and tomorrow!! Be sure to bring that calendar to Ms. Kim in the library Monday or Tuesday to pick your free book!! After that, choices will be limited. Westside Families: This Friday night at Lion Stadium is Elementary Night!! All students will get in free with a pass. Westside students will have BLUE Passes coming home this week in Red Folders! No cash at the gate. Game starts at 7:00 pm, Gates will open at 6:00. We want all Elementary students to be in the stadium and in the bleachers by 6:35. When students turn in their tickets at the gate, we will give them a popcorn pass for free popcorn. On the popcorn pass, it will say Home side BLUE ticket for WS. We will have the sign with the students' school name on the fence and the students will try to sit with their school. Go Lions!
