On Saturday Esports traveled to Bud Walton Arena to compete in the RewiredFest High School Tournament. Jordan Jones finished 7th out of 128 of the best players throughout both Arkansas & Missouri. This earned the program $200 in prize money. We had several other students compete extremely well, but placed just short of prize money, including Wyatt Martin, Blake Jones, & Alec Ireton. We also got to meet some of the best players in the world who were competing in professional tournaments worth $25,000. It was an amazing experience that everyone enjoyed.

Chemistry students in Mrs. Sarah Kitts class are testing samples of elements and observing the color of flames emitted. By observing the flame, students are able to see the energy that is given off in the form of visible light. The flame test can provide an identification method based on color of flame emitted by element. Go Lions!
