Today is Purple Up Day! During the Month of the Military Child, Purple Up! Day on April 15th recognizes some of the military's most unsung heroes - their children. The day encourages everyone to wear purple representing all branches of the military and showing unity with each other.

Weren't able to shop during Family Move Night last Thursday? We are excited to offer Book Fair: After Hours! Tomorrow ( Tuesday 4/16) & Wednesday (4/17) Pre-K families and parents of Sidney Deener students can come shop 3:15-4 pm both days!


And the winner is…. Ms. Brooks 2nd grade class! We had a great response to our all for books coin challenge! Our winning class received a new bundle of books from the Book Fair! Sharing the fair to include all is one of our favorite parts of the fair each semester!❤️

Searcy Schools will be gifting all students of active military families with a special tee shirt to wear. We have a list of students who have previously been identified as having an immediate family member (father, mother, or sibling) currently serving on active duty. However, we do not want to leave anyone out. We want to honor all of the students who qualify. If your child is part of an active military family, please respond to the attached form. For the month of March our students have been diving into books with Mrs. Marrs in order to select the champion book! Our March Madness Book Brackets were a lot of fun and sparked great conversation! Congratulations to our bracket winners this spring! Mell Fell was our overwhelming champion!



Our students and staff appreciate what Officer Smith does for us each and every day! Officer Smith is incorporating the DARE program into our students day to help students practice problem solving and safety skills!
