Executive skills or executive functions are the skills students need to get things done. These brain-based skills such as task initiation, sustained attention, working memory, planning, organization, and goal-directed persistence are critical to school success. Dr. Dawson will describe how these skill develop throughout childhood and suggest strategies parents can use to help children acquire the important skills they need to be successful. Deener students are ROARING their way into a great year! Students are earning paw prints for going above and beyond and representing our word of the month ( RESPECT). These students were selected for a fun prize for having a paw print on the classroom ROAR chart! Way to go!

We have a number of students who partiicpate in our local football league! Saturday morning will be an eventful day at Lion Stadium! Eddie's BBQ is serving breakfast and lunch. Admission is free but donations for Optimist Pee Wee league are certainly welcome!
