Throughout the school year students have a goal for both math and literacy that they work to accomplish. Each quarter teachers evaluate progress and encourage them in their growth and accomplishment. At the end of the year students receive growth and met goal certificates and fun Mario themed prizes! Let’s-a-goa-to-the-goala!

Yesterday our students participated in our annual Math Bee! Students showed their skills at math fact fluency and problem solving. Congratulations to go to all participants!
Yesterday our teachers had the opportunity to work with a representative from Solution Tree on campus! Solution Tree is assisting our district in making the Professional Learning Community strong, effective, and collaborative! This was a great way for teachers to review assessments, data, and have discussion on serving our stakeholders best!
Tomorrow our 3rd grade students will join all other 3rd graders from McRae and Westside at Lion Stadium for our annual Track Meet! This is fun day to exercise and meet new friends that will be joining us at the middle school next year!

We love ending our year in the library with several coding experiments including block coding with cubetto, pathways with ozobots, and blockly with dash! Our students are excellent problem solvers!
