Today was a great send-off to Thanksgiving Break! Thank you to Mr.Graham for cooking lunch for the staff and to our wonderful PTO for baking and donating pies for a fun trivia giveaway!
2nd grade students have been studying both pioneers and legendary people of the American west this quarter.Today we got a visit from Johnny Appleseed! Students got to hear stories and participate in apple activities as they prepare for a pioneer experience and Searcy’s own Pioneer Village!

Tuesday our Kindergarten students got to experience a little extra fun! Ms. Kitts and Mr. Sills came to visit Sidney Deener and helped our students learn to program BlueBot robots! Hands-on learning makes new ideas and concepts so fun!

We are putting a spotlight on attendance and are excited to announce an upcoming attendance incentive at Sidney Deener. From November 7-December 9, any student who has not been absent or tardy will receive both recognition and a fun reward!
Our annual Veterans Day front lawn gathering is coming up soon. Our 3rd grade students have been working on a musical presentation to honor our service members. We hope to see you there!
Yesterday a team of Deener students competed in Special Olympics bowling! They did a great job and were welcomed back to school with a fun parade led by three 3rd graders headed to pee wee football super bowl today! Congrats Deener bowling team and good luck Drayton, Logan, and Jax!
