Last week was filled with a lot of "See You Laters". Each year we celebrate the completion of our 3rd graders elementary years by having them ring the bell to signify moving on to new and bigger things! We will miss them dearly but love watching them grow!

Searcy School District is proud to announce two outstanding employees who were nominated by their peers and selected by the district leadership teams to serve as 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year and 2022-2023 Classified Employee of the Year.
Ms. Wendy Lentz, third grade teacher at Sidney Deener Elementary School, was selected as the Teacher of the Year, and Ms. Dee Dee Pettit has been named the first ever Searcy School Classified Employee of the Year. Ms. Pettit is an administrative assistant at Searcy High School.
Both ladies will be recognized and celebrated next fall, and Lentz will compete in the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) State Teacher of the Year competition. Today, Dr. Bobby Hart and campus leaders surprised each employee at their respective schools.
Congratulations and thanks to Wendy Lentz and Dee Dee Pettit for inspiring so many around them including students and colleagues alike!
