Searcy School District Covid-19 Communication Process

Searcy School District is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff members, and their families, and we will be proactive in our social distancing and sanitation measures as well as keep the communication lines open. In an effort to be transparent and still maintain privacy for students and staff members, we have developed the following communication process regarding Covid-19 positive cases.

  • When Searcy School District is notified that a positive case of Covid-19 is within a school building, staff members and parents of all students who are in that specific school will be notified through a text message at the end of the school day, but NOT before all probable close contacts have been notified.

  • When a student or staff member is determined to be a probable close contact and may have been exposed to Covid-19, the parent or employee will receive a phone call.

  • When students or staff members are directed to quarantine, but there is NOT a confirmed positive COVID-19 case, a school text notification will not be sent.
