Searcy High School Student Council, under the sponsorship of Christine Edelmann, understands that we have students who may not receive nutritious meals when they aren’t in school. To assist those students, the student council set up a food pantry at SHS.

Throughout the week, students can inform their teachers if they are in need, and Mrs. Edelmann ensures food bags are delivered to them. Last week, Searcy High School Student Council received generous donations from ARcare and Unity Health to help supplement the cost of food purchased for the pantry. ARcare presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to Searcy High School, and Unity Healthy donated $500 to the cause. We at Searcy School District are grateful to our community partners who understand that in order for our students to be successful academically they must also be healthy and ready to learn. During this unprecedented time in our world, families may be in need more than ever before. We thank ARcare and Unity Health for their partnerships and their support of Searcy School District students.
