FFA

Three SHS FFA members qualified for and competed at the 2021 Arkansas FFA State Leadership Development Event.

Madison Taylor placed 3rd overall in Extemporaneous Speaking.  This event is designed to recognize outstanding FFA members for their ability to prepare and present a factual speech on a specific agricultural issue in a well thought out and logical manner. Members have thirty minutes to prepare a four to six minute speech and respond to five minutes of questions following their delivery.

Ally Ferren placed 5th overall in Job Interview.  This event is for FFA members to develop, practice and demonstrate skills needed while seeking employment in the agricultural industry. Each part of the event simulates “real world” activities that will be used by real world employers.

Gwen Schowe placed 6th overall in Prepared Public Speaking.  This event is designed to recognize outstanding FFA members for their ability to prepare and present a factual speech on a specific agricultural issue in a well thought out and logical manner.
