Searcy School District is committed to providing a healthy learning environment and keeping the health and safety of students and staff as our top priority. We have successfully finished a full calendar year with our partnership with ARcare. ARcare joined us in 2020 to help provide numerous services for our students and staff. Their mission is Health for All and they strive to help serve in our community. \r\n

We are proud to announce that Searcy School District is expanding our partnership with ARcare by adding a Purchase Service Nurse to our Telehealth Agreement. Starting September 1, 2021, the Telehealth Nurse will be based out of Southwest Middle School but will float to each campus to help with healthcare needs for all students and staff. The nurse will be able to handle all Telehealth visits for each School District and will be available for assisting nursing personnel with any other nursing needs. The Telehealth Nurse will be present throughout the entire telemedicine appointment. Parents will be contacted BEFORE and AFTER the visit and of course, the appointments are confidential, and the telemedicine platform is HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) compliant. \r\n

We know it can be difficult for some families to make arrangements to see a primary care physician during the work week, and we want to assist in providing an ease of health service. For patients who currently have primary care coverage, ARcare will ask that the provider allow them to send a one-time change form for coverage of that visit. This service is NOT to replace a patient’s primary care provider. If a family already has primary care coverage, the family will pay the co-pay and the insurance company will be billed. \r\n

\r\n

Services that are available include Rapid Covid testing, Influenza testing, Strep testing, Glucose testing, etc. All of these test are available on-site and will have the results the same day. After each visit an excuse is available for the school if the student must be sent home. If child or staff is in need of any medication, they will be sent to patients preferred pharmacy during the visit.\r\n

\r\n

For those who choose to take advantage of this service, the new patient packet must be completed BEFORE the first telemedicine visit. Packets will be available in the front office of each school. Parent’s may access the forms at https://www.searcyschools.org/...\r\n
