Please join SHS on August 9th for our first-ever Sign the Lion event! We will distribute 2021-2022 yearbooks and host a signing party. SHS Classes of '23 & '24 who have already purchased a parking spot will be able to decorate their spots with chalk. We will have food trucks and music and hope to see everyone there!

Representative Les Eaves attended tonight's school board meeting and presented Blakely Howell with a legislative citation in honor of being named Extraordinary Educator by Curriculum Associates in the field of math education. Mrs. Howell has recently been named a math instructional facilitator for Searcy School District. Thank you, Representative Eaves, and congratulations to Mrs. Howell!

Searcy School District Board of Directors hired Marsha Green as the assistant principal at Westside Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year. Green is a Searcy native who has fifteen years of experience in the field of education. She earned her B.S.E from Arkansas State University and her masters in educational leadership from Harding University. Green’s most recent position has been teaching fourth grade at Southwest Middle School. Congratulations to Mrs. Green, and we look forward to her joining the Westside Elementary School team in this administrative role!

Lion football camp has 143 participants this week and a number of SHS football players assisting! So great we are able to offer summer opportunities for our students!

What a great crew we have at the SHS Lions youth football camp! Fun and learning all at the same time. We've got football players in the making!

If your child is attending the Searcy Lion Football Camp on May 25-27, they will need to be dropped off at Lion Stadium. Registration will be tomorrow, May 25th, from 8:00-8:30 A.M. If your child is already pre-registered, they will just need to check in. If inclement weather occurs, campers will be bused to the indoor facility located on the Searcy High School campus.

Searcy Wrestling Program is holding a free summer wrestling camp! Any child ages 10-14 is encouraged to attend!

It's GAME DAY!!! The SHS Lady Lions soccer team is leaving for Benton to play in the state 5A championship! They are leaving SHS and traveling down Beebe Capps Expressway with a police escort! Come out and help celebrate them out of town. GO LADY LIONS!
