Good morning. This is a message from the Searcy School District. We will be on a two hour delayed start this morning. All buses will run exactly two hours later than normal. Thank you for your understanding as the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Good evening. Searcy School District is monitoring the weather closely in regards to possible inclement weather tomorrow morning. Should inclement weather occur overnight or in the morning, a decision will be made between 5:00-5:30 am, and all families will be notified through our communication methods. Our final board member spotlight this week in honor of Board Member Recognition Month is Dr. Michael Liles. Dr. Liles has served tirelessly for more than 30 years, and we are grateful for his commitment. Thank you, Dr. Liles! Be sure and thank a school board member!

Dr. Brent Blakely is today's board member spotlight. We are forever grateful for Dr. Blakely's vital contributions to our school district! January is School Board Member Recognition Month. Take time to thank a school board member!

Due to the uncertain weather conditions and having been out of school this week, we are cancelling Coffee with the Superintendent that was scheduled for Friday. We will publicize when we determine a rescheduled date. Thank you for your understanding!

Congratulations to these Searcy High School band students for earning All-Region distinction! The All-Region clinic and concert will be held in Searcy on January 26-27.

This is a message from Searcy School District. We want to remind our families that we are closed tomorrow, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will continue to keep you updated regarding winter weather and any possible changes to our school schedule. Stay warm!

Two Searcy High School theatre students, Linus Beauman and Sara Bremmon, have been selected as finalists in the 2023-24 Arkansas Young Playwrights Competition for original one act plays they each wrote and submitted. The final competition will take place on Saturday, April 13, at Lake Hamilton High School. Congratulations to Linus and Sara! They are under the direction of Mrs. Mandy Taylor.

Searcy School District is off to a great start for the second semester of school! We want to remind our families to make sure you have the most current contact information on file at your child’s campus, so you are sure to receive any communication from Searcy School District. With winter weather in the forecast, we also want to remind you how we broadcast information regarding school closings. In the event we have to close school or run a different schedule, our families and staff members will be notified via text message and voice call. We will place the closure information on Channels 4, 7, and 11, radio, and our social media pages. Families and Community Members--we invite you to join us for our first "Coffee with the Superintendent" on Friday, January 19th at Ahlf Junior High School! Dr. Hart and Searcy School District invite all stakeholders.

Congratulations to the Searcy Lady Lions for being the Beebe Holiday Tournament Champions! The Lady Lions defeated Brookland (38-35), Beebe (53-31), and Nettleton (46-43) in the finals to win the tournament. Way to go, Lady Lions! The Lady Lions are coached by Kim Sitzmann and assisted by Hunter Southerland. They will host Paragould at Lion Arena on Friday, January 5. Go Lions and Lady Lions!
