We are excited to begin the SHS football season. For regular season games, fans may watch the Lion TV livestream and/or listen to KWCK 99.9 from their homes. Although, tonight's scrimmage event will not be available through these mediums as it is not a regularly scheduled game.

Athletic Update: The SHS football benefit game against Wynne scheduled for tomorrow night has been moved to 7:00 P.M. A limited amount of tickets will be sold at the gate. Tickets are $4.00 per person, and we ask that you use correct change if possible.Only AAA passes will be accepted. Social distancing procedures will be followed.

Searcy High School soccer tryouts for both boys and girls will be held during the month of November following football season.

SHS softball tryouts are today. Due to wet fields, the tryouts will be moved from the softball field to the indoor practice facility. The time remains the same at 3 P.M. Thank you!

Searcy School District families who have chosen to enroll in Lions Online should receive a School Status message from your child's campus providing you with a link to the Lions Online virtual orientation. Athletic Update: Due to high temperatures, the golf match scheduled for today against Harding Academy has been cancelled.

Searcy School District has been informed that three student athletes have tested positive for Covid 19. The Searcy High School football team has one positive case, and the SHS Lionsteppers have two members who tested positive. The administration and coaching staff followed the response protocol issued by The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and contacted the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). We are currently in the process of notifying parents of those students who may have been in contact with the athletes. The district is taking active measures to deep clean and disinfect the athletic facilities appropriately. After consultation with the ADH, we were advised that due to appropriate documentation and protocols followed, practices may resume. Coaches will inform student athletes when their next practice will be held. Searcy School District remains committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment during these uncertain times.

Please register your child by Wed, August 5th so they can be scheduled into classes. Both onsite and Lions Online students must complete the registration.

Searcy High School football team members enjoyed representing the Searcy Lions at Northeast Media Day today in Jonesboro. Representing the team were Brock Hohenstein (30), Qua Robinson (7), Kevon Poindexter (62), and Kylie Parker (3). The Lions are under the direction of head coach Kenny Simpson.
